The closest airport to Barletta is Bari-Palese.
To reach the historic center from Barletta train station, take Viale Giannone, cross the public green square and turn right along Corso Garibaldi. 

The city is connected to Bari by two railway lines - FS main line (Ferrovie dello Stato), national network, which runs along the coast up to in Bari, stopping in Trani, and the internal commuter service managed by the Ferrovie Nord Barese which crosses Andria and Ruvo di Puglia.

Both services use the same station; the Ferrovie Nord Barese platforms can be reached via the underpass beyond the main platforms. The Gargano Railways operate a bus service to Foggia. There are also bus services connecting local cities, such as Trani and Andria, operated by STP

Exit Canosa, continue towards Barletta.

• from Foggia/Cerignola (State road 16 bis)
Barletta Ovest exit, continue towards Barletta.

• from the south (A14 motorway)
Andria exit, follow the signs for state road 170 towards Barletta.

• from Bari (State road 16 Bis)
Barletta Centro exit, continue towards Barletta.

• from the west Naples (A16+A14 motorway)
Travel along the A16 until you reach the A14 and take the Andria-Barletta exit. Follow the signs for state road 170 towards Barletta.
