While waiting for the next cycle of exhibitions, which will be inaugurated on Saturday 14 December, the summer exhibitions at Palazzo Collicola ended last Sunday with the closing of the solo exhibition of the artist Chiara Camoni, inaugurated - under the artistic direction of Saverio Verini - on the occasion of the 67th Festival dei Due Mondi.
These are the numbers recorded in just over three months at Palazzo Collicola, where from the end of June to mid-October the solo exhibitions of Chiara Camoni (Inizio fine. Rotondo. Tutte le cose del mondo) and Roberto Fassone (Concerto, still open until November 10), the photographs of the Attolico collection (La nuova debole, which will remain on display until spring 2025), the installation by Felice Levini (Dal Giorno alla Notte, until spring 2025), the installation by Lulù Nuti (In My End Is My Beginning), the documentary exhibition on the Atelier di Formia (Performing across Frontiers) and the solo exhibition by gammatrace - Nicolò Marchi (Trace_001) were hosted, in addition to L’impronta dell’acqua. Nuove tracce dal Trasimeno by Roberto Ghezzi (inaugurated in mid-October and open until November 3) and the collections on the second floor (contemporary art) and the Piano Nobile (ancient art).
The program of meetings, presentations, conferences and special events is also intense and important: from the artist's books by Sol LeWitt, in collaboration with Mahler & LeWitt, to the meetings with Giorgio Facchini, Luca Berretta, Claudio Strinati and Annarosa Mattei, to the jazz concerts and the two vertical dance shows organized during the Festival dei Due Mondi, up to the presentation of the book Arbasino A-Z (Electa Editore) and the Festival's White Night.
In these three months, Palazzo Collicola also hosted the performance, in collaboration with the Regional Directorate of Umbrian Museums, for the project La Sottile Linea d'Umbria, the annual conference of the Marignoli Foundation of Montecorona (L’Italia s’è desta. Pittura murale dopo l’Unità), the Giornata del Contemporaneo (which saw the collaboration of the associations Fuori Festival and Amici di Palazzo Collicola), the activities of "Mezz'ora dopo la chiusa" curated by Sistema Museo, up to the presentation of the series of catalogues of the exhibitions held at the museum over the last few months, published by Viaindustriae Publishing.
Along with the illustrious visits to Palazzo Collicola (from the director of the French Academy in Rome - Villa Medici, Sam Stourdzè, to the director Nanni Moretti, from Ilaria Puri Purini of the American Academy in Rome to the gallery owners Alessandra and Valentina Bonomo, from the artist and president of the Accademia di San Luca Marco Tirelli to the soprano and orchestra conductor Barbara Hannigan, just to name a few), the artistic proposals of the director of the Civic Museums, Saverio Verini, have received important feedback from the national press, with reviews, articles and reports in Il Sole 24 Ore, Corriere della Sera, Rai5, Rai Radio1, Sky Arte, Artribune, Exibart, Inside Art, ArtsLife, Juliet, Gli Stati Generali.
